Vegetable Sources of Protein

I don’t rely on vegetables for ALL my protein, but a few grams in a serving of these veggies can really add up over the course of a day. Betcha didn’t know you could get a good protein punch from a thoughtfully put together salad! 🙂

spinach: 5 grams per 40 calorie serving
broccoli: 2.5 grams per 30 calories
peas: 4 grams per 60 calories
collards: 4 grams per 50 calories
artichokes: 4 grams per 60 calories
asparagus: 4.5 grams per 40 calories
bok choy: 6 grams per 50 calories
cauliflower: 2.5 grams per 30 calories
chard: 3.5 grams per 30 calories
romaine lettuce: 2 grams per 30 calories
zucchini: 3 grams per 40 calories
watercress: .8 gram per 4 calories (it’s almost all protein)
alfalfa sprouts: 1 gram per 7 calories
brussels sprouts: 2 grams per 30 calories
