I don’t do formal coaching, but I do offer one on one sessions for people looking for a little direction and for other health and fitness professionals who are interested in how I approach weight management and body image issues. I offer 30 minute consults for $45. I can also help you put together a meal plan based on your food preferences and goals (prices vary). Email me to set up a time at [email protected]

  1. Hello,
I just finished reading your ebook and I had a couple questions. I am 5″2′ at about 260lbs, I go up and down by 5 or so pounds constantly. I have always been active and always overweight. But I gained over 70 lbs with my first pregnancy (my son is now 2 and a half). I’ve been doing crossfit for over a year and have not lost any weight. I have tried paleo, lost some weight, but my husband wasn’t paleo so it was difficult to remain so strict. I tried the zone diet (at the encouragement of my coaches) and felt like I could barely work out. I have tracked my calories before, and started again (at the encouragement of your book), but I rarely eat over 2000 calories a day and according to the calculator that you suggested and your writings I should be eating over 3000 calories a day. But I am a little frustrated because I tend to put weight on quickly (2 or more pounds a day) by increasing my food consumption. I also struggle with sleep. I’m taking natural supplements to help me fall asleep, but I rarely sleep longer than 2 hours before I wake up and have to start over. I guess I’m just scared to start eating so much, because even at my current deficit I am not losing any weight. I know I have gained muscle, but my stomach and legs still carry so much fat and have not lost any of that fat (I have taken pictures and done measurements over a period of the past year). I just wanted a little guidance or suggestions. Please let me know what we can do/work out. Thank you.

  2. Hello-
Your blog is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’m a 34 year old mom of three on my “get fit” journey.

How do I find out my appropriate calorie intake' I run 5 miles 3/4 days a week I have ran 4 half marathons in the last year and a half as well, so more when I’m training. walk or do other activities with kids often. I try to stay around 1500 calories a day and more on running days (eat my exercise calories). I eat clean, drink minimal. I have been the same weight for 6 months and am so frustrated!! Help!! 1 1/2 years ago I weighed 200 lbs. I am 5′ 8. I am large framed. I lost the first 20 by counting calories and running. But now for the last 6 months I have plateaued at 180. I had gotten down to 175 before I did a month long boot camp. I gained 5 lbs and have been 180 again!

I am tracking my calories for accuracy but not sure of the number to aim for the calculators on the internet say my BMR is 1650.

I am joining a trx gym to try something else to get me out of this rut. I’ll do this in addition to the running… But I’m not sure of the calories' Any tips Thanks in advance for your time!!!
